About
As Director of Association Management, Michelle directs programs and activities that focus on research, education, and promotion of our clients’ commodities.
Combining her passion for agriculture with her exceptional communication skills, Michelle began her career in 1997 as the Administrator of the Oregon Hop Commission. Her overlapping responsibilities have included serving as the Business Manager of the Hop Research Council, supporting the long-term research priorities of the U.S. hop industry. She also gained a unique perspective and understanding of hop production working as the Marketing Coordinator at Crosby Hops, a vertically integrated farming operation in Oregon.
Michelle is well-versed in the specific regulations governing state commissions, including assessment collection, public meeting laws, financial reporting, and grant acquisition. She also has extensive experience in event planning and meeting coordination.
Michelle studied Agricultural Education at Oregon State University before graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from Portland State University, with honors.
